BlackinCT.com is the ultimate online community website geared to African-Americans residing in Connecticut. On August 1st 2008, Jason Watts purchased BlackinCT.com and envisioned the idea of a community website as a spinoff to The Urban Professionals Network. After months of development and progress BlackinCT.com is now live. We are committed to providing the highest quality of content and relevant information for African-Americans throughout the state. Our presence will connect, highlight, and recognize African-American businesses, entrepreneurs, professionals, students, and community leaders who make a difference  in Connecticut. We are on our way to having a presence in all African-American households by offering unprecedented online resources geared specifically toward the Black Community. We look to accomplish our goal of massive household presence through 6 areas of interests.  These are: Business Directory, Classified Section, Lifestyle Section, Events Calendar, and our exclusive Online Community.

Far too often, Connecticut's African-American presence, talent, resources, and gems are overlooked when thinking about the Northeast or New England.  BlackinCT.com will provide a high speed medium of information that will look to educate all across the country - on what Connecticut really has to offer. We hope to also become a much needed resource for all newcomers to the state of Connecticut. In easing the transition for new state residents, while connecting existing residents, we are confident that we can positively impact the quality of life for the Black Community in Connecticut. This site is not meant to be exclusionary to other races, but it is meant to promote businesses, social, cultural, and community events that are owned or supported by a majority African-American interest.

Unfortunately, information does not travel fast enough in the African-American community. Here at BlackinCT.com, we are on a mission to utilize one of the most powerful resources in the world; the Internet. By connecting the African-American community through a robust informational online portal, we are empowering ourselves to maximize the potential of our dreams and aspirations.

We graciously ask for your support and well-wishes, as we cannot accomplish our goal without you.

Sincerely,

The BlackinCT.com Staff
